Zorba<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">TAP_SCHEMA is a particular database schema defined in the&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ivoa.net\/documents\/TAP\/\">Table Access Protocol<\/a>&nbsp;(TAP)&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ivoa.net\/\">IVOA<\/a>&nbsp;Standard. It is intended for containing metadata related to a TAP service, like schemata, tables and columns exposed by the service or datatype, indexing, description and other information about columns.&nbsp;TASMAN is a Java EE application that provides a graphical user interface that can be used to create or edit a TAP_SCHEMA also by people that don&#8217;t have specific SQL skills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Download installer and user guide at&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ict.inaf.it\/gitlab\/molinaro\/tap_schema_manager\/-\/releases\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">GitLab TASMAN Releases page<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Features:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>support for multiple TAP_SCHEMA versions (1.0, 1.1 or customized version)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>UCD search and validation; possibility to define custom UCDs<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>VOUnit validation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>column_index set up sorting the columns simply dragging them<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>optional generation of the ObsCore table<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>consistency checking before editing an existing TAP_SCHEMA<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>storing\u00a0of database credentials and TAP_SCHEMA settings<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>support for multiple users<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>availability both of embedded and server-deployable version<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>support for MySQL and PostgreSQL<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">TASMAN&nbsp;Manager is part of&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/old.ia2.inaf.it\/index.php\/13-software\/35-apogeo\">APOGEO<\/a>&nbsp;tool but it can also be used as a standalone application.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This tool is under development but if you are interested we can provide access to the source. It will be released with GPL 3 license.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>We acknowledge support from the Astronomy ESFRI and Research Infrastructure Cluster \u2013 ASTERICS project, funded by the European Commission under the Horizon 2020 Programme (GA 653477).<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How it works<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Credentials<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The user can access multiple TAP_SCHEMA schemas from the application. The TAP_SCHEMA schema could be stored into a different database server than the database server from which the metadata are retrieved (we called it &#8220;the source&#8221;).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To avoid repeating the credentials insertion, TASMAN asks a single password and then can store permanently credentials that the user needs:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/old.ia2.inaf.it\/images\/images\/software\/tap_schema_manager\/tsm_credentials_editing.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Editing<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">TASMAN&nbsp;web interface allows the user selecting which schemata, tables and columns a TAP service should expose:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/old.ia2.inaf.it\/images\/images\/software\/tap_schema_manager\/tap_schema_manager_main.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Before saving the changes the interface can also list the update that will be performed:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/old.ia2.inaf.it\/images\/images\/software\/tap_schema_manager\/tsm_show_operations.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">UCD Validation<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The application includes also tools for validating&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ivoa.net\/documents\/latest\/UCD.html\">UCD<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It can call the&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/cdsweb.u-strasbg.fr\/UCD\/tools.htx\">CDS UCD web services<\/a>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/old.ia2.inaf.it\/images\/ucd_search.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And it also include another&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/gmantele\/ucdvalidator\">UCD Validator tool<\/a>, for offline usage or for inserting custom UCD:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/old.ia2.inaf.it\/images\/images\/software\/tap_schema_manager\/ucd-search-dialog-manual.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>IA2 developed Software: TASMANTAp_Schema MANager Contact: S.
