Data Sharing

The main tools for sharing data in user storage space are as follows:

Owncloud

OwnCloud is an open-source software that allows you to create a private cloud storage system—similar to Google Drive or Dropbox—hosted on an INAF IA2 server. It enables you to securely store, synchronize, and share files and documents while maintaining full control over your data. It is available by default to all INAF employees and associates with a base storage quota of 50 GB (expandable upon request), as well as to other users upon registration request.

Vospace

VOSpace is a software program developed by the IA2 team according to the specifications of the standard of the same name. In addition to enabling data sharing within the INAF community, it also allows asynchronous data transfers from the INAF tape library. Every INAF user is provided with a default storage quota of 50 GB, which can be expanded upon request (see details here).
